Principal Juliana Zhu Duo Juan

Starting from the latter part of 1960, Principal Zhu commenced training from her maternal uncle in Cha Quan. From 1970, she joined the Anhui Provincial Wushu Team as a professional member. She then studied and trained from various recognised teachers in many styles including Chang Quan (Long Fist), Cha Quan, Nan Quan (Southern Fist), Hua Quan, Tai Chi Quan, Bagua Palms, Pigua Quan, Tongbei Quan, Fanzi Quan, Chuo Jiao, Tanglang (Praying Mantis) Quan, Yingzhao (Eagle�s Claw) Quan, and Xinyi Quan; extending to learning weaponry such as sabre, spear, sword, staff, 3-sectional staff, 9-section whip, double whip, double sword, short stick, and scythe, including sparring and group performances.

Through the years, Principal Zhu has competed in numerous National tournaments and competitions, including 3 of People’s Republic of China�s Grand National Wushu Competitions, winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and other awards and citations. As a representative of China�s National Wushu Team, she also promoted Wushu in numerous visits to parts of Asia, Africa and Europe.

In 1980, Principal Zhu successfully enrolled in the prestigious Shanghai Athletic Academy to study as a Wushu Professional, graduating with honours in 1984. She remained there as a lecturer, and took on the role of the Chief Coach. By 1988, she emigrated to Australia and took up residence in Sydney, teaching Wushu in Australia. In 1992, Principal Zhu the Wushu Sports Academy as the body for her to promote Wushu here.

Principal Zhu has taught numerous students, many of whom have become China national champions and professional coaches. Our Australian instructors and students have also won many national and international medals because of her great experience and expert tutelage.

Principal Juliana holds many qualifications, including:
