Training

May 15, 2005 by Daniel T_T...

Was wondering if anyone could post up sum good small tips here for strengthening parts of the body?
Like…. appart from practising kicks/jumps/forms.
Such as makeing the fingers stronger by doing that ‘digging them into a pot of sand over and over again’ thing…. Anything along those lines. Nothing too dangerous like hanging yourself to make your neck stronger T_T…

As we are heading into autumn / winter please make sure you are properly warmed up before doing any training, whether it is kicks, strength, forms, etc – even if it takes more time.

And do not allow yourself to cool down until you are ready to stop.

Do not practice on wet surfaces (eg. dew on grass) as you could hurt yourself.

And make sure you plan the training to fit in with work, study, etc.

While tips will be left here for Instructors and students to read please do not begin to try until you have spoken to your Instructor or Principal Juliana first.

Tips should also be specific about what age groups would be okay to use.

Also, Principal Juliana will add articles soon so watch this space.

Thanks for the question. Sorry for the confusion, but I’ve made a small change to the way posting works – there’s a post in the member’s section about it.
